The Garrison Betterment Committee was organized in October of 1989 and Incorporated in 1992. They received a non-private\non-profit status in 1990. In 1993, they were given a community housing development organization certification. |

| The Kozy Kounty Apartments are owned and operated by the GBC. There are 10 apartments for low to moderate income senior citizens. All apartments are handicap accessible and are furnished with stove and refrigerator, air conditioning and cable TV. Water, garbage and sewer are furnished. There is a laundromat and a social center for entertainment and family gatherings. Gargages are available.
